What do you do at Labyrinth?
I’m responsible for the strategy and deliverance of IT services to clients. It is my job to lead the support department, ensuring that every single one of our clients receives a first-class service from us and are using the most efficient and secure technologies to run their business.
When did you get into IT?
I’ve been interested in various aspects of IT from a young age, influenced by my father who is the Technical Director for an international technology company. My career in IT began in 2008. I joined Labyrinth Technology in 2015 and before that worked as an IT Manager for a large financial services firm in the City. I’m a big believer in self-improvement in IT, and have achieved the ITIL (IT Service Management) v4, Level 4 Information Technology Diploma, and CompTIA Network +
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
My life outside of work is spent with my wife and three young children (all boys!). I enjoy days out with them, sticking the BBQ on every time the sun shows up (much to the annoyance of my wife) and binge-watching series like Game of Thrones. I also play a bit of piano improvisation, although I never get much time for this before the boys join in!
Do you have a favourite holiday destination?
Not really as I like to explore different places. But my favourites have to be the USA (New York, San Francisco, LA, Orlando), Paris, Berlin (particularly at Christmas!) and Dorset in the UK.
What is your favourite TV series, and why?
Breaking Bad. The storyline and cinematography are outstanding. I recently completed my fifth watch of the series during my commute into London.
