Broadband is a generic term that now encompasses a number of different technologies.
In the context of Internet access, the term “broadband” is used loosely to mean access that is always on and faster than the old-school dial-up access.
Most broadband internet access in the UK is a form of Digital Subscriber Line (DSL). ADSL (Asynchronous DSL) are now being replaced with VDSL (Very-High-Bit-Rate DSL) lines and FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) connections.
Most broadband connections are Asymmetric. This means that the Download Speed is faster than the Upload speed. While this is not usually an issue for home users (leisure applications tend to be download heavy), corporate internet access may require more robust upload speeds as well. For example, if you are using a Cloud Storage solution, it may take a long time to Upload documents if you do not have a decent Upload speed.
It’s also worth remembering that a DSL connection is not a private connection. You will be sharing some or all of the circuit with other businesses or consumers and, therefore, you might experience a loss of performance at peak times.
Labyrinth can provide the full range of Broadband solutions that are available in your area.
Often, however, depending on local communications infrastructure, the only viable alternative for businesses (especially in Central London) is a Leased Line.

The main thing that makes Labyrinth Technology different from other providers is that we put our money where our mouth is. We don’t ask you to sign up to long term contracts over 1, 2 or 3 years, and then conduct a serious charm offensive 2 weeks before the end of the contract. Our clients are never committed to staying with us for more than 1 calendar month, as our contracts work on a 30-day rolling basis. We constantly have to strive to deliver the best customer service and support in the business, knowing that if we don’t we cannot force clients to stay. And the good news is that we don’t need to; our clients stay by choice, and not by contract!
The short answer is that, unusually in today’s world, we put you first. We don’t believe that we need to tie clients in to long term, multi-year contracts, but instead focus all of our efforts in delivering the highest standards of customer service. We want our clients to want to stay with us, not have to stay with us. We are confident that after more than 20 years providing IT support to London’s businesses that our experience, technical proficiency and quality of service makes us a desirable IT Support solutions provider. And we can demonstrate our credentials as all work is delivered to IS09001:2015 Quality Management standards.
